The Things I Do For a Photo!

Yesterday my grandson was over and we were playing outside.  I ALWAYS have my camera out when he is here, you just never know what I may capture.  On this particular day I wanted to get him smelling my flowers, which I did.  He was then running in the yard and I got up to run and take a photo when BAM I hit some wood sitting by our fire pit and stubbed my pinky toe pretty bad.  Yes there was blood so I thought, hey a photo moment!  Now if you know me I think feet are ugly, so I debated on posting this photo.  So I apologize up front if you have the same feeling I do regarding feet!

Field of Dreams

The last couple of days when I drive home I couldn't help but notice the beautiful yellow color of the wheat field across the street.  I told my husband today that I wanted to try and get a nice photo and he got so excited and said, "let's go on a photo shoot."  I'm so lucky to have a husband that enjoys the same passion that I do.  So we both set off with cameras in tow for a little walk across the street.  Here are some of my fav's from today.

Photography Club 1st Meet & Greet

You ever get so excited that you just can't stand to sit still? That's how I am right now!  A few months ago my dear friend, Claudette & I decided to start a photography club.  We had our first meeting today.  There were a total of five of us and our vision is that the club will continue to grow.  We selected our club name, "That's When I Snapped Photography Club." Our focus today was getting to know each other, find out what type of camera we all used, discussed our newsletter, field trips and much more.  Our next club meeting is in August and we are so excited on what this new adventure is going to bring.  Of course I had my camera set up on the tripod to take a group shot and I forgot with all the excitement! 

We will be creating a Facebook page to share all of our wonderful ideas, journeys and of course PHOTOS!  Stay tuned....

Birthday Girl

We celebrated our 18yr old daughter's birthday last Wed.  I'm just now getting around to editing some of the photos because I am so far behind in my to do list!  She is a princess in our eye's so of course a tiara was part of the plan. 



Frogs, Snails & Puppy Dog Tails

I just love when I get to spend time with my grandchildren.  Yesterday I had Aidan for a few hours and we played outside.  It's amazing how children are so amazed with grass and bugs.  Aidan was more interested in the grass than the centipede and baby toad that we found. 

And oh how he loves playing peek-a-boo....

July 9, 2011 - These Boots Were Made For Riding

Yesterday a few friends of ours that own Harley's came up to the marina to spend the day with us.  They both have beautiful bikes and I couldn't resist taking some photos.  One of my favorites is a photo I captured of Erica's biker boots.  I just love the look of the boot in the grass.  Great times with great friends!
